13 reasons why-week 4

I think the author chose this title because it’s what the book is going to be about. Hannah Baker gave out thirteen cassette tapes to people she said had a part in her killing herself by over dose. So that’s why he came up with thirteen reasons why. The title actually gives away most of the book because if you haven’t read the book and heard about it or read just a couple of sentences in the beginning of the book, you would know that it’s thirteen reasons why she took her own life. This is a good title because it’s one of those titles that you don’t have to really think hard about or ones that you think don’t really have anything to do with the book. Based on the title I would’ve picked it up and read more because I would want to know what were the reasons and the reasons for what. So far it answers the questions in the first chapter. The people were the reasons and it was thirteen of them and she committed suicide. This is a really good book so far and I’m looking forward to reading more of the book and finding out what everybody had to do with this girl killing herself.

First blog

In the past I usually read books like “Thirteen reasons why”. I like those types of books because it keeps me wanting to read more and more. I like mystery books like solving crimes and murders. I don’t enjoy fictional books mainly the ones that could never be true. When I like to read is at night before I go to sleep. I read then because that’s when I’m not as busy and it’s easier to concentrate at night. In the day time its better TV shows on and you want to keep doing unnecessary things. I like to do out of school reading better because it’s your choice and its books that you’re interested in and topics you like to read about. When I’m at home I can read at my own pace as for in school you have to read at the teachers and your classmates pace. When you do go ahead of the class you start to get confused so it’s better to stay together with your class. I read in bed most the time and I have to have a little noise, like the TV or a radio or I can’t really stay focused because I hate silence at my house. I do not like to read mythical books, it’s just not interesting to me, and I feel like I’m wasting my time reading if I ever have to read those types of books. I’m looking forward to reading “thirteen reasons why” because it’s a mystery type of book and I like those types.
